People are sayin the woman is damned,

The citys a blaze, the towns on fire.
The womans flames are reaching higher.
We were fools, we called her liar.
All I hear is burn!

I didnt believe she was devils sperm.
She said, curse you all, youll never learn!

The people laughed till she said, burn!
Warning came, no one cared.
Earth was shakin, we stood and stared.

la mia fortuna è che non mi attrae ciò che mi distrugge
la mia fortuna è che non mi attrae chi mi respinge
il mio destino è di non restare con chi mi costringe
il mio destino è di non seguire quello che mi sfugge

tu cerchi l’amore soltanto sull’orlo del precipizio

Come fossi acqua dentro l’acqua...






E a dire il vero,
l’acqua mi scorre addosso,
carezzandomi i fianchi,
rinfrescandomi la fronte,
per poi scivolare via,
e non ne rimane che pelle salata.
E per quanto ad occhi chiusi
la mia fantasia mi porti
nel cuore degli oceani,
io non sono un’onda...
In equilibro sul ciglio di questo scoglio,
le onde,
io , le aspetto.

Come farai a capire quali sono quelle giuste,
chiese il vento.
Le alte onde mi travolgeranno,
vittoriose contro il mio equilibrio mi butteranno a terra,
e bramando il mio corpo mi porterano via.
Quelle, saranno quelle giuste, e non avrò il tempo di capirlo.

Poi il vento le scompigliò i capelli e le baciò le guance.
Aveva compreso.
